Tucked away in the heart of Naromoru, The Nelion offers a luxury hotel experience with breathtaking views of Mt. Kenya to the east, and the rolling Aberdare ranges to the west.

Combining contemporary design and local craftsmanship, with a profound appreciation for the environment, the lodge is largely built using recovered and recycled materials always making sure to maintain the modern rustic theme.

The Nelion derives its name from the clearest and second highest peak of Mt. Kenya, jutting into the skies at a majestic 17,021 ft (5,188 metres) above sea level, and a mere 250 metres from the highest peak, Batian. Nelion is actually an anglophone corruption of the name Nelieng, who was Mbatian’s (Batian peak) younger brother.

Our staff will welcome you to the facility and will go out of their way to make your visit memorable. Being a new facility, we have set out to distinguish ourselves by not only striving to meet our clients’ needs, but also try to anticipate them. Amazing for Getaway

The wooden cabins are very spacious and amazing if you want a relaxing getaway. Amazing views of Mt. Kenya and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is highly recommended especially the steaks. Worth a visit.

Beautiful Place

Absolutely awesome place. At first, we thought it would be the usual facebook enhanced photos but when we got there, it surpassed our expectations. The food was amazing down to little preferences we requested because of kids, the bathrooms were the exact size a holiday bath should be. We had a great time, the kids totally enjoyed the pool and play area. The hosting was gracious and we're definitely coming back with a bigger group! Whoever thought you'd find such a little heaven in the heart of Naru Moru!
